Benito’s Gift


“Benito’s Gift” is a ten-minute family movie about how a young Pueblo Indian boy fulfills a special promise, which, in turn, helps bring his family together. The screenplay, written by Rick Romancito, is winner of the 2006 New Mexico Governor’s Cup Short Screenplay Competition, sponsored by the National Geographic All Roads Film Project and the New Mexico Film Office.

The movie is directed by Rick Romancito, produced by Lisa Wieneke-Rich, photographed in widescreen digital video by Doug Crawford, and assisted by the New Mexico Film Office, Santa Fe Community College and the Institute of American Indian Arts.
